The Development and Current Status of Marine Weather Forecasting Operation in China

近年来，随着海洋经济的发展和海洋防灾减灾的需要，我国海洋气象预报业务有了长足的进展。对海洋气象预报业务的现状及其发展进行了简要回顾，阐述了当前海洋气象监测技术手段，以及国内外在海雾、海上大风、海浪和风暴潮等海洋气象灾害预报技术方面的发展，指出了当前海洋气象业务存在的不足及未来的发展方向。

Abstract：
With the development of marine economy and the increasing requirement of marine hazard mitigation, marine weather forecast operations in China have made great progress in recent years. This paper briefly reviewed the development and current status of marine weather forecast operation in China, with emphasis on the technology of marine weather monitoring, the development of numerical models for sea fog, sea gale, sea wave and storm surge, and the progress in operational forecasting technology and marine weather service. Deficiencies in the current operational system and future developments were also discussed.
